A week in the life of a brand agency!

Coming in I wasn’t really sure what to expect. If you had asked me last week if I would be able to put together a graduate brochure and design the wireframe for a new website I probably would have said no. However now I’m sitting here with 9 pages of a website designed from scratch and a draft structure of a brochure before me. As well as upping my technical and Excel skills, I’m happy to have gained practical experience on real client projects. I love the mix of business and creative.

I’ve been surprised by how quickly I got into the agency mind-set of things and thinking about how things looked to the client’s audience. Every day I was excited to come in and I even started dreaming about Excel spread sheets at one point. I also found myself analysing random website designs and critiquing billboard ads as I drove into work.

When I chat about my day’s work designing wireframes and rearranging employee interviews at home they look at me like I’m speaking a different language. I loved my week here. The team are so nice and welcoming. It’s a great atmosphere to work in. Every day was different and the work was challenging but dynamic and so interesting. You get a great buzz when your client is happy with your designs and when you finally see all the team’s hard work coming together.
