It’s been a very busy and exciting time here at The Pudding over the last few weeks. With lots more lively times ahead too! We have put together some of the interesting things that have been happening lately to give you a little insight into what we are up to.
OFFSET was the talk of the town and we were absolutely delighted to be involved this year. Our CEO & Chief Strategist spoke on a panel on the Yellow Stage of Ireland’s leading creative conference. The panel discussed the topic of Gender Balance in the Irish creative sector with some very interesting and hopeful points being made. Gillian was joined by Vanessa Fay of Epsilon, Brian Stephens of Design Partners and Jimmy Murphy, (President of IAPI, Director of Publicis). MC: Kim MacKenzie Doyle (President IDI).
Huge congratulations to the OFFSET team on yet another massively inspiring and exhilarating weekend. We cannot wait for next year.
On the same day that Gillian was on stage we are thrilled to say that The Pudding made the 100 Design Archive. 100 is a living archive which maps the past, present and future of Irish design. The chosen work was our recent rebrand of the Osprey Hotel for the PREM Hotel Group. Eva, our creative also gained recognition for her work from the 100 Archive. Her editorial based design work which was a product of her Masters Thesis on branding for cities was also selected as one of the 100 projects chosen by judges. This project provided Eva with insight on brands, identity and the best approach to building and creating brand’s identities.
We also participated in the Team Limerick Cleanup 2018 on Good Friday. The TLC initiative is sponsored by the JP McManus Benevolent Fund and is spearheaded by Paul O’ Connell and Limerick City and County Council with the support of Mr Binman, The Limerick Leader and Limerick’s Live 95FM. Team Limerick Cleanup is one of the most exciting campaigns ever to hit Limerick, and we are delighted that the people of Limerick came out in force to do their bit to clean up our streets.
Welcome John, Chloe, Sophie and Josephine. John is joining us from Multimedia course in LIT & Chloe, Sophie and Josephine are from Limerick School of Art & Design. We love the opportunity to share expertise with up and coming talent who show an interest in our work! Delighted to have them join the team and keep an eye out for some of their work soon!
Our CEO was out and about again. Gillian was on Today FM over the weekend on The Sunday Business Show with Conall O’ Morain. The topic: the very popular area that is Employer Branding. Her top tips: create a strong authentic Employer Value Proposition, communicate it internally and externally and most importantly, deliver it. You will see the impact in your organisational culture and in the bottom line. You can listen back to Gillian’s interview here.
We have some very exciting projects launching soon that we are looking forward to sharing with you. It is a very exciting time at The Pudding and we will continue to give you insight into what we are up to. Watch this space!
